Career Ambassador Program
Are you seeking a prestigious opportunity to shape the student experience at Northeastern, cultivate professional skills, gain valuable connections, and join a community of innovative student leaders? Are you skilled in interpersonal communication and passionate about guiding others?
The Employer Engagement and Career Design (EECD) department is seeking undergraduate and graduate students with internship, co-op, or work experience to serve as Career Ambassadors in a leadership role.
As a Career Ambassador, you’ll be instrumental in guiding Huskies to become self-directed and adaptable learners, enhancing their student experience. Your role involves facilitating connections and solidifying Northeastern’s position as a leader in educational innovation.
**Please note that this is an unpaid opportunity, but is eligible for work study **
Key Responsibilities:
You will receive full training on the following responsibilities:
- Provide personalized coaching on job and internship searches, networking, resume and cover letter writing, LinkedIn profile optimization, and interview preparation to undergraduate and graduate students, and alumni!
- Attend exclusive events as peer mentors and use expertise to help advise and support students in all things career related
- Host and lead workshops about topics ranging from LinkedIn Profile enhancements to building your best resume
- Staff the Career Studio for drop-in student support, both in-person and virtually
- Research and create relevant content, and promoting resources to students, academic departments, residence halls, student organizations, and campus partners
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students in their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th year, or 2nd year graduate students with relevant co-op, internship, or work experience
- Self-motivated, independent, and innovative
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Presentation skills are a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able and willing to work with students and providing quality advice
- Proficiency with virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Excel and other technologies
Additional Information:
- Unpaid- eligible for work study
- Part-time student hybrid role (4 – 6 hours/week)
- Open to both domestic and international students
- Completion of the Career Ambassador training and one year of service in the role qualifies you for a Career Mentor Digital Badge

We are currently accepting applications for the academic year 2024-2025 (Fall 2024 to Spring 2025). The application period is from March 7th to March 28th, 2024.
