You are invited to the Agencies Fair on Thursday, September 30th from 9am-1pm – a virtual event.
Northeastern University works closely with agencies (third-party providers) who offer global co-ops in a variety of locations around the world. These partners offer fee based, all-inclusive services which, depending on the agency and location, may include the following:
· a global co-op placement (standard)
· housing accommodations
· pre-departure cultural orientation
· airport pick-op
· on-the-ground welcome sessions
· group check in with all international students
· networking and social activities
· resume and interview career advice
· professional recommendation upon successful completion
These services are ideal for students who are considering travelling and working abroad and:
· would prefer the travelling details to be organized by a specialist with on-the-ground expertise
· have not travelled abroad and a global co-op will be their first experience
· would enjoy a social network with other students from other universities and countries

Job Quality and Safety Abroad
The quality of job placements, the locations, housing and COVID 19 safety plans have been vetted by Employer Engagement and Career Design, College Coordinators and the International Safety Office.
If students proceed with the application process, they may request to see the approved safety plan. This plan will be used to complete a Petition to Travel that is required by the university for all global travels. Please check with your Co-op Coordinator.
Agencies charge varied fees for their placement services. Northeastern supports students’ global travels by offering financial aid through the following options:
Presidential Global Scholarship administered by the Student Financial Services office.
The Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships offers aid for global co-ops involving research
Employer Engagement and Career Design may help with funds to cover the agency fee
Colleges may have their own funding for global experiences. Check with your Co-op Coordinator.
Some agencies offer discounts to Northeastern students; this information is included in each agency posting.
The Agencies Fair is organized by the Employer Engagement and Career Design office and the Colleges.
