The Department of Pharmacy at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is looking for highly motivated students for pharmacy intern positions. This is an excellent opportunity for inpatient pharmacy experience. With nearly 1,000 inpatient beds, approximately 50,000 inpatient stays, and over 2.6 million outpatient encounters annually, clinicians across the Brigham provide compassionate, high-quality care in virtually every medical and surgical specialty to patients locally, regionally, nationally and around the world.
Pharmacy interns are vital to the workflow of the pharmacy department. Under the direction of pharmacy staff, individuals should be able to follow established policies and procedures to perform a variety of routine technical and support tasks that are integral to the operation of the Pharmacy department. Tasks include preparation of unit dose medications, outpatient prescriptions, intravenous admixtures and stock orders.
