Mascon is currently looking for QA Engineer with a mechanical engineering background for an internship or full-time.
Job Description:The QA engineer needs to have a solid understanding of engineering drawings, dimensional inspection, quality assurance systems involving sample inspection/approval, FAI, PPAP, and managing quality records and samples. Additionally, the QA engineer at Mascon needs to work with aspects involving supply-chain and understands the prioritization and urgency management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Review, understand, and analyze technical specifications and requirements.Understand engineering drawing and corresponding inspection methods.Establish inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and sampling plan.Evaluate vendor capability and capacity to produce specific components.Inspect and verify incoming parts, reports, and certificates.Interpret, inspect, and explain tolerances and technical requirements on drawings or documents.Implement quality standards.Provide accurate, timely reports.Communicate with customers or suppliers for engineering/quality-related discussion.Other tasks to support the operation of the engineering department.Requirements:
In Bachelor or Master program of Science in engineering (mechanical or manufacturing).Result-oriented, properly prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects with solid project management skills.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance. Comfortable operating common measurement equipment, e.g., Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Go/No Go gauges (like Pin Gauges, Thread Gauges), etc. Ability to operate Coordinate Measuring Machine and Optical Comparator is desirable but required.Ability to review inspection in accordance with First Article Inspection (AS9102), and PPAP, preferred.Review, edit or draft quality/engineering-related paperwork, including but not limited to Non-conformance reports, Corrective Action reports, inspection reports, etc.Ability to work, collaborate with multiple departments, and communicate clearly and effectively. Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding technical or quality issues promptly and effectively.Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong problem-solving skills.Be self-motivated, goal-driven, and can work with minimal supervision.Familiarity with engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality of pistols, rifles, and shotguns is a plus but not required.Mascon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
