Mechanical Engineer Co-Op (July – December 2023)

We’re looking for Mechanical Engineering co-ops to join our engineering team working on product development and advancing our technology as the company continues to quickly expand.
The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree or have significant coursework in mechanical engineering, bioengineering or biomedical engineering and have a strong interest in collaborating with our hardware engineering team to ensure the launch of a robust product.
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity where you’ll get to work at a fast-paced and highly innovative venture-backed startup to make a big impact across multiple sectors. We are looking for co-ops that will work 32+ hours a week for 6 months.
**This 6 month position will be onsite work at our downtown Boston, MA. The co-op will start July 5, 2023 and end December 31, 2023. Please consider if you can work onsite in MA before applying.?

In this role, you will work on a wide range of projects including:

Develop and validate concepts for future product launches
Design fixtures for assembly and testing
Identify and troubleshoot failure modes related to device performance
Perform experimental research as we advance our product and technology
Work cross-functionally with R&D and manufacturing
Dive deep into technology development in microfluidics and improving formulation performance

What We Seek:

Students enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, or other relevant programs with overlapping coursework
Experience with product development, assembly and testing
Experience prototyping with 3D printed and/or off-the-shelf parts
Experience using hand tools, mills, lathes and other machine shop equipment
Experience using SOLIDWORKS
Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Intermediate proficiency with SOLIDWORKS is a plus
