Feb 21 • 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Are you wondering how to successfully make the transition from Co-op to a Career in Biotech? The field of Biotechnology is exciting and ever changing! Hear from NU Alums, Alyssa Kruithof and Tyler Nicholson, Senior Research Associates @ BioNTech about industry trends and how to break into the field!

Learn how they got where they are, what skills are needed in the biotech field, what a real workday in the life at a Biotech company is like and more! There will also be a dedicated portion of the session to Student Q & A.

Alyssa is a Senior Research Associate on the Peptide Chemistry team at BioNTech US. She attended Northeastern from 2016 to 2022 and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience followed by a Master’s in Biotechnology. Her first co-op at the Biorepository within Boston Children’s Hospital piqued her interest in production lab work. For her second co-op, Alyssa transitioned into a production chemistry lab at Neon Therapeutics (now BioNTech US), where she supports high-throughput peptide manufacturing for internal research programs.
