Are you interested in learning about leadership? sheLEADS: Women in Leadership is a series organized by Career Design comprised of sessions specifically focused on individuals who identify as female and who have secured leadership roles within a variety of career fields.
Each session features a guest speaker or speakers from a specific industry or career field who will discuss their career path(s), how they were able to overcome obstacles to rise in the ranks, and provide suggestions and advice to those who are interested in taking on leadership roles. There will be a dedicated portion of this session to student Q & A.
This session is focused on Tech, and you will hear from our guest speaker, Nishita Sikka, who is a Senior Software Engineer at LinkedIn. With a Master’s degree from Northeastern University in Computer Systems Networking, she leverages her expertise in software development and DevOps to create innovative solutions that enhance user experience and operational efficiency. She began her experience with LinkedIn as a Software Development Intern, participated as a Student Developer in Google’s Summer of Code, and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Northeastern University.
Nishita has worked her way up at LinkedIn from her role as a DevOps Engineer to Senior DevOps Engineer, to her current leadership position as Senior Software Engineer.
