sheLEADS: Women In Leadership – GLOBAL

  • sheLEADS: Women in Leadership is a series comprised of sessions specifically focused on individuals who identify as female and who have secured leadership roles within a variety of career fields.

  • Each session features a guest speaker from a specific industry or career field who will discuss their career path, how they were able to overcome obstacles to rise in the ranks, and provide suggestions and advice to those who are interested in taking on leadership roles. There will be a dedicated portion of this session to student Q & A.

  • This session is focused on a Global participant, Lynette Pereira, who has taken on and succeeded in leadership roles as a Local Government Councillor in Melbourne, Australia. Ms. Pereira has worked on several initiatives to assist women, including projects related to domestic violence, and a Women’s Friendship Cafe, where those who identify as female can gain support. She is  also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and recently held the post as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Southern Migrant & Refugee Centre in Dandenong which covers South East Melbourne.
