This event is presented by Northeastern’s Lab for Inclusive Entrepreneurship and is the first part of a new series on entrepreneurship.
This is open to all current CPS students, alumni, and IE Fellows.
About the Presenter:
Kevin O’Brien: A serial entrepreneur, most recently serving as CEO (now chairman) and co-founder of the email security company GreatHorn, that was sold to private equity in 2022. In addition to serving on several boards, Kevin mentors and works with early-stage founders on strategy, entrepreneurship, and leadership development topics. In addition to his own companies, he is a mentor-in-residence at Techstars.
Kevin’s background in the cybersecurity industry began in the late 1990s with the security firm @stake (acquired by Symantec in 2004), where he directly contributed to enterprise security projects, reverse engineering, and penetration testing. Over the past 15 years, Kevin has held multiple senior executive roles in Boston-area startups, including early roles at QAS (acquired by Experian in 2004), Contact Networks (acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2007), and Conjur (acquired by CyberArk in 2016). Kevin holds a bachelors in philosophy from the University of Massachusetts, with secondary studies in language, linguistics, and comparative literature. Outside of his professional roles, Kevin is an avid sailor, martial artist, and world traveler.
