Jun 18 • 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

The American workplace can be a unique experience. Sammy Hejazi, Senior Category Manager at Wayfair, aims to tell his story and present ways to navigate the American workplace.

Sammy Hejazi will explain how American and International work cultures differ, the importance of self-awareness and practical next steps you can take to succeed in your co-op or internship.

Sammy has 12+ years of experience working in several roles across business functions, both in the U.S. and Internationally. He graduated with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Penn State, where he was an International student, and has an MBA from INSEAD. As a former international student himself, Sammy has successfully adapted to American work culture and is passionate about supporting International co-workers and students in their quest to develop successful careers outside their home countries. He currently works at Wayfair (Boston HQ) developing Vertical market strategy in their B2B division.

This program connects to the SAIL domain Personal and Professional Effectiveness and Global Mindset by enabling students to build and leverage networks to achieve professional and/or personal goals through strategic thinking and calibrate one's behavior and communication to exhibit cultural sensitivity in professional and social settings
