Undergrad Freshmen Career Week: Using Strengths for Career Exploration and Searching for Internships

Jan 27 • 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Michelle, can you do this workshop from 5:00 pm-6:00 since this is your late night so that Dale can do an intern workshop at 1 because she's only in until 4:30?

People who focus on using their strengths are 3 times as likely to report having an excellent quality of life and are 7 times as likely to be engaged in their jobs. This interactive workshop is designed to help you identify your top 5 (out of 34) strengths, gain a deeper understanding of yourself and others and apply these insights to your major, career, internship, co-op, graduate school, or full-time job search.

Find out how to use your strengths to build your professional brand, resume, and stand out in an interview.  Communicating your unique value is key to differentiating yourself from the competition.

Please register by January 21st to be able to take the assessment prior to the workshop.

This event is part of "Undergrad Freshmen Career Week" designed with workshops and events specifically for 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students to prepare for exploring majors/careers and finding your first internship.

This program connects to the Professional and Personal Effectiveness SAIL Domain with the skills of: Strategic Thinking, Planning, and Mindfulness.
