Ever heard about Cave Day, We Work, or other co-working opportunities? Do you ever feel like it would be more motivating if you weren’t working on your job/internship search alone? Want that coffee shop or lounge vibe when you’re working on your materials? Professionals use this format, called caveday, and take an hour to get their work done while others are working on their own tasks. You will start off by meeting each other- and then you will put what you will be working on in the chat, and then your choice- camera on or camera off- you will work on any aspect of your career materials you would like! Working at the same time that others are working on their own internship, co-op or job search is motivating! This is not a presentation but a virtual lounge co-working space. You’ll log onto the zoom link, share in the chat what you’re working on, and then work while others are working too! It’s up to you what you choose to work on- resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, identifying jobs or internships– each person here will work on what they need to work on to make progress while everyone else is also working on what they need to work on.
This is not career studio- so it’s not guidance- it’s independent work, motivated by seeing others also do their independent work. There’s comfort and motivation in working alongside others who are also working on their documents, applications, or outreach emails. Camera off or camera on, come join others in the job search vibe ! Bring anything and make progress on your goals!
