Developing and Leveraging your Network

Many job opportunities are uncovered through relationships rather than online applications—but effective networking requires strategy, intention, and professionalism. This workshop focuses on how to use LinkedIn as a purposeful tool to support your job search.

Participants will learn how to identify and connect with the right people, craft thoughtful outreach messages, and engage in conversations that feel authentic rather than transactional. We’ll cover LinkedIn etiquette, profile positioning, and how to request and conduct informational conversations. The session will also explore how to use LinkedIn Groups and posting strategically—participating in discussions, sharing insights, and building visibility in ways that strengthen your professional presence without feeling salesy.

You’ll leave with a clear networking strategy, practical outreach frameworks, and concrete ways to use LinkedIn connections, groups, and content to build relationships—ultimately helping you network your way into a job.
