Fly high with real-world engineering challenges

Welcome to our programme – we’re thrilled to have you on board!

It’s an exciting time to be part of British Airways’ Engineering team. We operate around the clock, connecting Britain with the world, and the world with Britain. In this virtual experience, you’ll step into the shoes of a British Airways engineer. Across two tasks, you’ll tackle real-world challenges that reflect our day-to-day operations: first, you’ll investigate aircraft defects to diagnose the root cause, assess safety implications and complete a structured work request; then you’ll forecast material requirements and plan maintenance schedules, adapting your strategy when parts availability changes.

This programme is designed to help you gain insight into how we deliver operational excellence, uphold our safety culture and support sustainability in everything we do. We hope it provides a valuable opportunity to sharpen your problem-solving skills, grow your confidence and take a step closer to a career in aviation engineering.

Ready to take off? Let’s embark on your first engineering challenge!
