Pat Leomi

Pat Leomi
Assistant Director for Career Services, Career Design He/Him/His
Pat Leomi firmly believes that exploring the uncomfortable and making mistakes are a critical part of figuring out who someone wants to be and what they want to do. Just like the students he works with, his past is filled with confusion, indecision, and feeling overwhelmed. These feelings led him to sink a lot of time into many unfulfilled dreams, like multiple masters programs, a law degree, and doctoral studies. But he doesn’t for one moment think that any of this time was wasted, because from each experience he developed a deeper understanding of his professional needs and goals. Pat brings this lived experience of academic exploration and career uncertainty into every career conversation, helping students recognize that mistakes and discomfort aren’t detours but an essential step along the way to who they will become.
