Position Title: Renewable Energy Project ManagerJob Description:
Palmer Capital is a renewable energy company focused on the development of wind, solar, geothermal, among other energy projects. The combined organizations of Solaya Energy and Palmer Capital (www.palmcap.com), have developed over $2.6 billion in alternative energy projects since 1982. We are seeking a creative and hardworking individual to work with us to solve the climate crisis by prospecting, developing, and constructing new energy projects. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and join a fast paced, rapidly growing, entrepreneurial environment. The position is in person in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
Business Development
Work with the core team to identify new business opportunities.
Propose branding and marketing ideas to promote business.
Create marketing materials using company branding documents.
Project Development
Communicate and coordinate with engineering consultants, land agents, towns, landowners, and state and local permitting agencies to develop renewable energy projects.
Develop mapping to effectively communicate the project design, goals, and constraints.
Create social media content and contribute to project branding and collateral.
Review and edit legal documents for projects in development.
Project Prospecting
Search with Google Maps, ArcGIS and other software to identify potential locations for expansion.
Pitch new ideas, concepts, and geographic locations for development. All ideas will be evaluated.
Research landowners, local regulations, and electrical infrastructure related to expansion targets.
Construction
Visit project sites to inspect on-going construction, permitting and design, and operations for projects.
Requirements:
Interest in renewable energy and climate change.
Creativity in problem solving and thinking outside of the box.
Strong communications skills; able to effectively work with a team and consultants in various remote locations.
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to learn.
Spanish speaking proficiency is strongly desired.
Experience with GIS Mapping systems and software.
Knowledge of social media and marketing management.
Experience with Canva.
Enthusiasm for building a cleaner tomorrow!
