Are you interested in learning about leadership? sheLEADS: Women in Leadership is a series organized by Career Design comprised of sessions specifically focused on individuals who identify as female and who have secured leadership roles within a variety of career fields.
Each session features a guest speaker or speakers from a specific industry or career field who will discuss their career path(s), how they were able to overcome obstacles to rise in the ranks, and provide suggestions and advice to those who are interested in taking on leadership roles. There will be a dedicated portion of this session to student Q & A.
This session is focused on Biotech, and you will hear from our guest speaker, Janani Sridar, a Northeastern University Alumnus wirh a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology. With several years of direct experience and a wealth of knowledge in this field, Janani is currently in the leadership role of Principal Research Associate at Calico Labs, LLC. She has also taken on roles as Senior Research Associate and Research Associate at both Calico Labs and Neon Therapeutics.
Janani has participated in Research Co-ops at New England Biolabs (NEB), interned at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation, and has contributed to various publications, including as a co-first author in collaboration with rhe DeepMind (AlphaFold) Team.
