Vancouver Co-op & Career Services is planning an exciting day of career mentorship, featuring 7 industry professionals from Unbounce. In this session, students will learn what an information interview is and practice how to conduct one with professionals who work in tech. Information interviews are an important networking component: this event will help you practice this important skill!
Unbounce is the landing page builder for professional marketers which provides them easiest way to create, publish & A/B test desktop and mobile-responsive landing pages, and is pioneering AI technology in their sector.
This Canadian tech company is headquartered in Vancouver, and is in fact right across the street from our very own NU Vancouver campus!

Format*
Before the event, registrants will receive instructions on how to prepare for an information interview and which industry mentor they will meet with.
A brief preparation session will be delivered at the beginning of the event to help students prepare for a 20 minute 1-on-1 practice information interview.
Next, we will have a a kickoff session to introduce the industry guests and explain the event agenda.
Students will be given a time slot with 1 industry guest to practice having an information interview.
We will end the event with a brief group reflection period.
*students only need to be present for the first 1.5 hours of the event, plus their 20 minute appointment time. Total time commitment is less than 2 hours.
