Welcome to Career Design and Northeastern! As a graduate student, you have already decided to either advance in your career or make an intentional change in another direction. There are more career-related decisions that you will soon need to make, but you don’t have to do this on your own! Take advantage of the many opportunities and resources our nationally ranked career center provides to help you through the start of your career journey.
You might already have professional experience related to your degree, or possibly unrelated experience or even no experience at all. Developing a career strategy and starting the job search process requires reflection on what matters most to you, identifying the problems you want to solve, and creating an action plan to move forward and achieve your goals. We can guide you with every step of this journey, including helping you to refine and demonstrate your unique brand, expand and leverage your professional network, update and polish your professional portfolio including your resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn, and meet employers who are seeking profession-ready NU students just like you.
To help you get started, we recommend the Career Design coaching labs below. However, these are only suggestions. Every learner has different needs. Feel free to browse all of the lab descriptions and the full schedule. You are welcome to attend in whatever sequence works best for you and to return to any and all coaching labs for help as often as needed.
Make sure to attend the Grad Career Summit in the fall semester.
