Students

Peer learning can be one of the most effective ways students can learn because they want to hear from people who have gone through a similar process or experience. Students can be invaluable career influencers due to their frame of reference and connection to other students.

Student leaders who have career conversations have the opportunity to learn more about themselves and their own career journey.

Ways YOU can be an influencer:

  • If you find yourself having a casual conversation, be sure to know your own limits and expertise on the subject. Remember, this is exactly what we are here for! Refer your friends and other Northeastern learners to Career Design to help with any of their career questions! Familiarize yourself with our services and how to navigate our website so you can empower others to reach out for information and help.
  • As you have more career-related conversations and want to get involved with Career Design in a more intentional way, we encourage you to think about how you and your peer group(s) can get involved.
    • For example, Career Design can do specialized presentations with your organization or group on any career-related topic. If interested, contact Director, Diane Ciarletta ([email protected]).
  • Finally, if you are really interested in what Career Design has to offer, consider becoming part of our office! We encourage anyone to shadow, apply to become a work study or co-op in our office, and even become a trained leader in our renowned Career Ambassador Program.

If interested, contact us and learn more about how you can be involved as an influencer!
